The Lord of the Rings Coming to S.H.Figuarts
"One Ring to rule them all. One Ring to find them. One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them."
The Lord of the Rings is getting the S.H.Figuarts treatment, beginning with Aragorn, Frodo Baggins, and Gollum! Fans got their first look when the items were revealed earlier this month at TAMASHII NATION, held in Akihabara, Japan. Let’s have a closer look for those of us that couldn’t attend the event.
Aragorn, the Dúnedain descendant who led Frodo Baggins and other members of the fellowship, is now available as an S.H.Figuarts. The figure comes with a variety of armaments from the first film, "The Fellowship of the Ring." The cloth cloak has wires inside so that it can be posed freely. The figure comes complete with the main body, three pairs of interchangeable hands, an interchangeable face part, sword, dagger, quiver, blanket, and cloth cloak.
Frodo Baggins, the main character from "The Lord of the Rings," appears in S.H.Figuarts together with Gollum. Interchangeable hand parts for the One Ring are also included. The figure also comes with a cloth cloak with wires that allow it to be posed freely. The set includes the main body, interchangeable hands (two left, three right), an interchangeable face part, Sting set, cloth cloak, Gollum. Additionally, Gollum features a movable head and arms.
Nine companions set out from Rivendell; which members of the fellowship would you like to see next? Of course, the road to Mordor is long and quite dangerous. However, let us not forget Gandalf’s warning, “There are older and fouler things than orcs in the deep places of the world.”
S.H.Figuarts Aragon, along with Frodo Baggins and Gollum, are available now for pre-order. Be sure to check your preferred retailer for availability. Both figure sets are expected to arrive in Summer 2025.
