Star Wars: Our Top 5 Lightsabers

We are celebrating Star Wars all week long and today we wanted to share our top 5 lightsabers from Star Wars. Looking back on 43 years of Star Wars it was pretty tough to come to a consensus on which five would ultimately make the cut. Almost every lightsaber is cool in its own way, but right now we are looking at the "wow factor" and your daddy's lightsaber might be good enough for that librarian, Jocasta Nu, in Episode II. Just kidding; she's great!

During our interoffice discussions we explored the expanded universe and brought up some unique and practical hilts. Jedi Master Tera Sinube (The Clone Wars), used a cane that also served as a lightsaber hilt. Crazy, right? The same could be said for Asajj Ventress who's dual wielding lightsabers would interlock to make for a carousel of carnage.

A lightsaber's color can play a big role when choosing your favorite. For me personally, I remember being a kid and seeing Luke turn on his new lightsaber for the first time in Return of the Jedi. As soon as he ignited the blade and it was revealed to be green, I about screamed with excitement! Previously, we had only ever seen blue and red lightsaber colors, and green was enough to floor me. It's also worth noting Rey's yellow lightsaber would have been really neat to see in action, but sadly we were left wanting. But enough about that. On to the list of our top 5 lightsabers!
